November 13th, 2015 proved to be fatal for the 130 souls whose earthly journey was exterminated by terrorist attacks in Paris. It spread melancholy and chaos throughout Paris and her citizens. As governments in all nations keep Paris in their prayers,the West Bengal government is in no measure overdue.
With a feeling of unanimous camaraderie with Paris and her loss, the West Bengal government has decided to build a miniscule, scaled down version of the original Eiffel Tower in Eco Park, Rajarhat Kolkata. The 'seven wonders of the world theme park ' of Eco park will be complete with the Taj Mahal, Christ the Redeemer from Brazil, Chicken Itza from Mexico, Great Wall of China, Petra from Jordan, Machu Picchu from Peru, Collosseum from Rome and a 55 meters high Eiffel Tower comprising of 300 tonnes of steel.like the original, it will have two tiers, an observation room about 25m above base, two elevators, a coffee shop and a souvenir shop. A three acre plot inside the Eco park has been singled out for the establishment of these miniature monuments. It is an exciting plan to have all the seven wonders of the world situated on one platform. Many beautification plans for architectural designs have also been brought forward. Kolkata will have its own Eiffel Tower as a tribute to all Paris victims, the families of those victims and as a reminder of the magnanimity and power the monument of Paris holds even after suffering from such a plight.
