And, don't forget that the film plays backward!

Christopher Nolan's debut film was this indie neo-noir thriller. It's about a man who likes to follow people and how he ends up being the victim of a layered conspiracy  With a minimalistic budget, the director took turns writing, directing, editing and even producing the film.

A rainstorm forces her to halt for the night at Bates Motel, owned by the polite yet presumably sinister Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins) who has a sour relationship with his mother and holds an interest in taxidermy. Famous for "the shower scene", Psycho with its brilliant ending ranks second on this list.

     1. The Usual Suspects (1995)

Bryan Singer's American neo-noir mystery crime thriller revolves around a cripple con man named Verbal Kint (Kevin Spacey) who is one of the few survivors in a blast at San Pedro Harbor. On being interrogated by the cops, he tells them how he and his partners had been manipulated by the mythic crime lord Keyser Soze to pull off a multi-million dollar heist which ended in the blast. The Usual Suspects has the most unexpected plot twist of all times and without saying much, it is better to leave it to the viewer to experience the shock.
