So our Alice was sitting by the rose bush staring blankly at the pages of the fat book (without pictures!) on her lap that menacingly stared back at her.
Bored. Listless.
She didn't even realize when she had dozed off....
....When suddenly, the hedge behind her began to shake.
''Rabbits'', she thought at first.
"But oh dear, that was no white rabbit with a stop clock!"
Instead, out came a cat.
No not the kind with cheshire grins or rhetorics;
Rather a very grumpy one for a cat..
"But oh, look",
said Alice to herself as she noticed for the first time,
a pendant of the sparkliest stone dangling from its neck;
"And there's more",
silver loops around its ears carved in the most intricate designs man had ever seen and "Oh, and a ring!"
A golden ring looped about its bushy tale.
"I must be dreaming", thought Alice as the bejeweled cat stood there sparkling in the sunshine.
"Indeed your not." said the cat making her jump, even in her dream...
Before long, she fell down the rabbit hole into another Wonderland,
Cat in tow,
And on a quest for the prettiest jewels...

Redefining all our typical Bengali clichés, goyna is the dream come true for every woman that ever dreamt.
Started as a humble initiative by a group of young sophomores from Presidency university, Goyna has grown with them, with the years.
" 'Sell your creations', they encouraged.
'Someday', we said never imagining that dreams could indeed be true.
They are true - the dreams!"
--read one of their very first posts, even as they spent sleepless nights thinking up designs or skimming through boxes of beads, wires and dreams.
With a little help and support from friends, Goyna now boasts of 500+ likes on their Facebook page and a huge customer base from all over the city. From earrings, pendants, pretty silver trinkets, chains and danglers... You name it...They've got it all !!
"We dream of making your dreams tangible.
To make jewellery that defines you!"
And indeed... Made of things as ordinary as paper, beads and wires, their designs speak of all things under the sun!
To wear the sapphire blue lake on your finger,
The emerald green leaves around your neck,
And take the citrine sunset with you
wherever you go...
How does it feel to wear your dreams?!
Diamond stars and a pearly full moon against an onyx night sky;
Gnarled foliage and rocks - carefully carved,
into magnificent palaces, Gods and Goddesses,
whispering histories of annihilation and love...
Sounds really pricey, right?
But believe me when I tell you this,
you don't need to be rich to sparkle.
These things are ridiculously cheap and they absolutely refuse to hike their prices.
"I have enough jewels", said no one ever...
...and certainly not as long as Goyna is here.
You can never have enough of these!

From Harry Potter pendants and butterfly earrings to handmade beaded bags, bell jar & yarn ball lamps, luminous orbs, prettiest hand accessories,
Hand in Hand is a parallel Wonderland, if you could call it that.
Another dream come true by a group of college students from Jadavpur University, this is how things began as voiced by Madhuparna Dey, one of the hands and minds behind the success:
"Shreya is my partner and she lives just a floor below in the same building I live in. We started off by making yarn lampshade not for the purpose of selling but for the purpose of gifting hand made things to friends on their birthdays. The lampshades received much appreciation and we thought why not begin a new start up instead of sitting idle. Then from home decors we shifted to friendship bands which gradually shifted to jewelry. We are self taught duos and sole purpose behind our Hand in Hand is make you and your surroundings more beautiful."
Started as a simple initiative by two best friends, "hand in hand" now flaunts a whooping 616 likes on their page and happy comments from friends and lovers and pleased buyers turned lovers!
One should either be a work of art, or wear a work of art.
Life is too short to wear boring jewellery. People will stare, make it worth their while!

Lightyears away, as she pinched herself awake, only to find herself in a living, breathing reality, Alice lay wondering...
The journey was over.
The cat was nowhere to be seen..
The starry sky spread overhead,
Over the leaves and branches of trees.
The constellations
showered love in meteor dusts
and Alice found it decided in her heart.
The first order:
It'd be about the stars!
